January 29th The weather has been very mild for winter and the forecast looks to be mild 30-40 all week! The steelhead fishing has been very good give it a try you wont be disappointed! January 16th I just got back from the ultimate Sports Show in Novi Mi! I had 7 seminars in 4 days, it was very rewarding helping fisherman learn more about the details of fishing! My casting seminars were very well attended, they highlighted my new DVD Spinning and Bait Casting Made Easy! November 15 Steelhead fishing is very good through December every year and is currently on fire we are finding steelhead in almost every hole we fish! August 21 I am currently going to The Big Manistee River for King Salmon fishing through the month of September before returning to Lake St Clair for the month of October! Then back to the Manistee River for steelhead fishing for November and December!   August 21 Fishing was great on Lake St Clair and the St Clair River this summer the beauty of the river and world class fishing always amazes me! I will be back on Lake St Clair booking fishing trips for the month of October! in 2011   May 15 Both boats landed 70 plus smallmouth on May 14th! smallmouth fishing is smoking hot on Lake St Clair! May 10 We are landing some huge smallmouth on Lake St Clair. They are in pre spawn now and the action is great with the best yet to come! April 30 Heading to the Best smallmouth and musky fishing in the world on Lake St Clair for the summer. I will post a smallmouth and walleye report in a couple of days! April 29 The Last day of Steelhead fishing on the Big Manistee River was assume hooking over 30 steelhead on egg patterns and landing 14 nice steelhead! I am done on the Manistee now till fall when the salmon move in the river! 4/19/2011 I encourage you to try the best smallmouth fishing in the world on the flats of Lake St Clair! I have a few prime days left in May and early June so get them while they last! 4/19/2011 I am full for remaining steelhead dates in April! 3/9/20011 The steelhead fishing is stable fish are throughout the river now but will be getting very good soon! As we get warmer weather and more snow melting off and rain. I think the middle of April till the end of the month will be peek steelhead fishing Book it now! Fly fishing or spin casting your choice! 2/20/2011 The action on steelhead has been great! I have had very happy customers this past week! 2/6/2011 Winter steelhead fishing on the Big Manistee River is SMOKING HOT. I am fishing 2 different methods spawn & plugs and they all are working! Treat yourself or buy a trip for a friend! You will be fishing in a covered and heated 21ft Carolina Skiff! 9/8/2010 I just broke my all time record 22 King Salmon landed in the Big Manistee River on September 8th by 12:30pm. I was doing my favorite method for catching King Salmon, casting cranks for salmon! This is something you need to try with the guy that started it all. I Promise you will love the action. 6/10/2010 Musky casting and musky deep water jigging started on June 5th and we are off to a great start landing musky almost every day. We just landed a 51" musky look at my picture page to see this fish and others like it! 5/6/2010 Smallmouth action is heating up! I have them dialed in and we are having a blast catching quality smallmouth. If you have not fished smallmouth on Lake St Clair you have not fished the BEST SMALLMOUTH FISHING DESTINATION IN THE WORLD! At a recent seminar at D&R Sports Center in Kalamazoo Mi Kevin VanDam said Lake St Clair is the best smallmouth fishing anywhere! Contact me and get in on the action! World Class Musky Casting! Every trip people say these are the biggest smallmouth they have ever caught. I am also offering walleye jigging on St Clair & Detroit river's. As you may know I have a long background of musky casting with  a family owned Island on Lake of The Woods in Canada. I highly recommend casting over trolling for the ultimate musky experience. You have to experience salmon casting in Michigan's Big Manistee River it is allot like musky casting only you have more hits on an average day and they are very mean. You can't believe how they fight, try this with me and I promise you will not be disappointed. I start on the Big Manistee River Salmon casting the last week of August. I JUST HOSTED IN-FISHERMAN TV STEVE QUINN ON LAKE ST CLAIR IN MAY 2009 WE CAUGHT A BUNCH OF HUGE SMALLMOUTH FOR THE SHOW IT WILL AIR NEXT WINTER IN 2010 SEASON I FISHED A VERY UNUSUAL BAIT IN THE SHALLOWS FOR THIS SEGMENT. I AM HOSTING IN-FISHERMAN TV THE WEEK OF MARCH 23rd 2009 THE SHOW IS ABOUT CASTING CRANK BAITS FOR SALMON ON THE MANISTEE RIVER. WE HAD A GREAT TIME FILMING THIS DON'T MISS IT!   If you recently watched my musky casting show on Lake St Clair with Kelly Gotch on Michigan out of Doors or the smallmouth Bass show I encourage you to try to book for next year for musky or smallmouth to try to catch the peek time!! I just had a Smallmouth fishing show air, we were on Lake ST Clair Catching Huge smallmouth. Mark Romanack and I shot this last spring for Fishing 411. Now on the Sportsman channel.
